2019 Guest Speaker

Darryl Silver graduated from NIU in 1989 and moved to Los Angeles two weeks after graduating. Darryl had no job and no place to live, but he kept trying. He quickly started to land production assistant jobs and shortly after got a job in the Mailroom at Universal Studios backlot. Darryl was able to experience working in Hollywood at a movie studio, met famous filmmakers, and drove around on his own golf cart!

Darryl was the original creative team that developed The Apprentice for Mark Burnett and produced the first three seasons. He also is an Executive Producer for TLC's Mama Medium! We are very excited to have Darryl speaking on the third night of Reality Bytes (April 11th at 8:00 PM).
